The Harper-Zwedru road is also gravel and becomes extremely slippery during the heavy rains. If hiking is not your cup of tea, you can also reach the peak of Mt Nimba in a 4wd drive to the top.
The beautiful Sapo National Park is located in Zwedru. Sapo is home to West Africa's only remaining primary rainforest. Sapo National Park also hosts the rare forest elephants, pygmy hippos, chimpanzees, antelopes and plenty of other wildlife and birds. Sapo is located in Sinoe province and can be accessed in 4x4 vehicle from Monrovia. You would require a full day’s driving from Monrovia to Greenville. After Greenville we drive north to Juarzon and then onward to Jalay Town in the South East of Liberia.
